State of the food-union
in the case of brazil, the country has a large amount of arable land that can be compatible with extensive and intensive farming methods alike, one of the main problems about brazils farmland is the amount of the amazon that has been destroyed through practices like slash and burn agriculture leading to a worsening in the Co2 balance of earth. looking in different areas of brazil you'll come to find that only 9.69% of the population actually works in farms, which means that right now brazil has a really healthy balance between agriculture and other industry's while providing a large amount of their own crop need from their own fields, with a large part of their crop imports being of poultry and meats like beef and pork. Along with healthy supply brazil has been increasing the amount of intensive farming in the past couple of years with increases in crops like soybeans, corn, cotton, and sugar cane. Some of the downsides associated with this have been that certain companies are consolidating power in those sectors leading to concerns of power mismanagement and a lack of action against harmful climate practices. All in all brazil is in a fairly stable and economic position, with good access to crops, lots of arable land and is becoming a rising power agriculturally, but a huge threat that is facing brazil is their huge amount of unsustainability, leading to some global anger towards the nation and a very bad situation economically and physically to look forward to in the future if they don't stop their terrible agriculture practices.
